Are you an experienced stock taker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy? Crerar Hotels is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Central Finance team as a Stock Taker. Preferably, candidates will have knowledge and experience with Logonn Stock Software, but we welcome applications from all experienced professionals in stock management.
As a Stock Taker at Crerar Hotels, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of our inventory, contributing to the success of our organization. Across 10 hotels in the group, 9 in Scotland and 1 in England. Will therefore need to work away from home on average 3 nights per week with accommodation and food provided at each location.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide detailed stocktake reports for food, liquor and spa.
- Identifying actual stock performance against expected.
- Identify if cash is being held needlessly in the cellar instead of in our bank.
- Gross profit calculator. Reporting the average profit values we make.
- Analysing purchases/prices. Making sure we only pay for what we’ve agreed.
- Product by product analysis. Ensuring every product line performs to the maximum.
- Working with the General Manager to assist with any stock problems.
- Providing training on the stock system to hotel staff as and when required.
- Reporting results and findings to the Executive Team and the Internal Auditor (who will be your direct line manager)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in stock taking and inventory management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with Logonn Stock Software or similar inventory management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to perform accurate calculations and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
